What is RQ-test?

RQ is abbreviation of Randomicity Quantity. One is able to measure own RQ by generating a row of random numbers.

It is supposed that RQ depends on both creativeness and level of waking. 
More in detail. It was discovered that variability of evoked potentials of a brain is constant property of the brain, i.e. the individual. If we ask a testee to move her/his hand randomly and will record the movements, we will able to measure the variability, i.e. creativeness of the brain. 

The test needs only two minutes and is suitable for business or personal screen testing.

We recommend to set mouse speed and acceleration you like in the Properties for your mouse. If it moves hardly, you get wrong results.

After launching rq-test.exe a window appears. You should adjust, as you like, the position of the window and set the size of the window 18 cm x 18 cm (you can do that, if you have version 1.2 of the program, by moving the cursor to a bottom corner of the window, until the cursor change its form and by dragging it or, if the version 1.0-1.1, by changing of screen resolution to get 18x18cm size of the window). Then press F1 key (v1.2) and let testee move the cursor in the window as randomly and quickly as one can. Excessive going the cursor outside the window will in some measure devaluate result but testee should not too concentrate on the item. There are three numbers - coordinates X, Y and time in the window.

The first 100 values of the coordinates are waived aside. When time is 2500 (2400 = 2 minutes) then the file coordinates.raw will be created (with data of 100-2500) in the same place where the rq-test.exe is.

2 minutes and 5 seconds.

Why does RQ reflect the creativeness?
If a brain can only generate something determined, then it is unable to produce a new.

How can one improve own RQ result?
The best RQ can be gotten after activation of motor zones of brain, for example, immediately after a walk.

What is in the file coordinates.raw?
The first part - 2400 X coordinates, the second - 2400 Y ones. Every of coordinates takes a value from 0 to 255 (they are counted from real ones). To see the coordinates you should have a hexadecimal editor/viewer.

What is in the file rq-test-window-placement.bin?
The file saves position and dimensions of the window to prevent repetitions of their adjustment. You can erase the file at any moment.

How does the program work with HDD?
After loading the program tries to read rq-test-window-placement.bin file. Then during two minutes the program accumulates the coordinates in the memory without reading from/writing on HDD.

Can I use the program to test a testee several times?
To save an old file coordinates.raw rename it (as coordinates.r01, for example). Without doing that every new test will erase the old file.

What are platforms for the program?
The program was tested in Windows 98SE, Millenium, 2000 SP2 and XP.
